Pastor Max Miller was born & raised in Michigan, and continued to live here most of his life.  He went to Seminary at what was called Lutheran Theological Seminary of Gettysburg in 2006.  The Seminary has since joined with Philadelphia to make "United."  It was during his internship at Seminary where he was blessed to serve in Pine Ridge, SD.  It was in South Dakota where he accepted his first call in Mitchell, SD and he still holds a passion for ministry there on the Pine Ridge Reservation.  He served with love and adoration in South Dakota from 2010 through 2020, before moving back to his home state, Michigan.  He currently serves two congregations:  St. Paul Lutheran Church of Au Gres & Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Tawas.

Max thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and experiences God's creation as often as he can through backpacking, kayaking/canoeing/paddle-boarding, fishing, hunting, and camping.
